The St Augustine Duplicate Bridge Club will be holding two special games this week. On Thurs, Jan 26th, there will be the second of three Grand National Team Qualifier Swiss Teams competitions. Unlike our regular “8 is Enough” games, teams will be stratified as Flight C (no member over 500 Mps) , Flight B (no-one over 2000 Mps), Flight A (no-one over 5000 Mps), and Open (unlimited Mps).
On Sat, Jan 28th, an open pairs International Fund Game has been added to our schedule. Game time is 12:30. Extra points will be awarded and the proceeds will help to defray expenses of North American participation in international competition.
This week we had another very outstanding game at the club. Bill Smith and Rick Gray, both C level players, scored a 73.24% game to earn themselves a place on the clubs 72% plaque. Congratulations, Bill and Rick!
